A group of Somali mothers and youth in Edmonton have launched the Somali Art and Cultural Association of Canada. Cultural artifacts accompany showcases of performing arts, fashion and food. Organizers hope the multipurpose space fosters cultural preservation and breaks down barriers for the Somali community.
