A man who died after being fatally stabbed in a park in Sheffield has been named as 24-year-old Sacad Ali
A man who died after being fatally stabbed in a park in Sheffield has been named as 24-year-old Sacad Ali.
Emergency services were called at 4.35am yesterday morning (9 March) to Ponderosa Park in the Netherthorpe area of the city after a man was found with multiple stab wounds.
Despite the best efforts of our own officers and paramedics at the scene, the man sadly died.
He has since been formally identified as Sheffield man Sacad Ali. His family have been informed and are being supported by our officers.
They have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
A scene remains in place in Ponderosa Park and the Oxford Street area as officers conduct further enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Wood, who is the Senior Investigating Officer for this case, said: “This was a truly horrific murder that has cut short the life of a young man.
“An investigation has been launched and our team are working hard to piece together the circumstances leading up to this tragedy and to find the people responsible for the death of Sacad.”
